About Us

We teach beginners to advanced students, children and adults, with our classes demonstrating high discipline, strongly motivated and well-focused confident students. We teach traditional Kyokushin Karate, Self-Defence. Sensei S S Das has over 25 years’ experience in Kyokushin Karate and other Martial Arts. He has been teaching as an accredited Dasdojo Chief Instructor in Kyokushin Karate and passing on his knowledge to others since 2003.

Kyokushin Karate is a full-contact martial art, known throughout the Martial Arts world as The Strongest Karate not only for the reputation of its top fighters but also for the rigorous and systematic training methods. It is the system developed by the legendary Sosai Mas Oyama 10th Dan. It was the first Karate system that incorporated low kicks as a main part of the syllabus. Kyokushin, famous for its powerful techniques, derives its stunning force from center points and circular motions that generate enormous strength. This is why Kyokushin differentiates from other karate styles that rely on simple linear motions.

Benefits of Karate

Self Defense

The ability to defend yourself against an assailant is an empowering feeling. Most martial arts use self defense as a cornerstone of the entire program. The precise methods will vary from discipline to discipline, but you can be certain that with regular practice, your child will learn to defend himself in a variety of different ways.

Self Discipline

Kyokushin Karate help instill mental focus in your child, giving him / her the ability to concentrate on a task and see it through to its conclusion. The discipline that is taught in the dojo in regard to uniforms, customs and techniques often translates into other areas of life, including school and household chores.

Self Confidence

A child who is involved in martial arts is generally a child who is confident in herself. Working through DKA program and the belt ranking system gives a child measurable goals to follow that are realistic to attain. The sense of accomplishment a child feels by mastering a new technique or graduating to a new belt follows him everywhere he goes.

Fitness

Fitness is a crucial element to all martial arts classes, especially where children are involved. Warmups with jumping jacks, pushups and stretches are common, and the movements of the martial art itself often challenge your muscles and cardiovascular system. Martial artists are known for being toned, flexible and physically fit, and your child will be no different.
